Legal Funding FAQ

How long does it take to get money?

Typically, you can expect to receive your money within 24-48 hours from the time you submit your application. Our quick and helpful legal funding agents make the transaction easy and stress free.

Do you check my credit?

No. Your credit score is not a factor in our decision as this transaction is not a loan. Shield Legal Funding takes on any risk – not you! We provide a quick and no-risk solution for the cases we fund.

What type of cases do you fund?

We consider a range of cases from motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, medical malpractice, work place injuries, dog bites, wrongful death, and more. Contact us today to see if your case is eligible!

Do I have to make monthly payments?

No, however the amount to be paid back will increase to reflect the date of repayment. The cost of the advance and terms will be agreed upon in writing prior to any funding.

How is the money repaid?

When the case is settled, the attorney distributes the funds to all participating parties – but we’re only paid IF there is a recovery! You receive the money when you need it, so your daily responsibilities and finances are not interrupted, then when the case is resolved the proceeds from your claim will pay the advance as well as all costs.

What happens if I lose my case?

If you lose your case, you owe us NOTHING! Shield Legal Funding has a simple review process that allows us to determine the level of risk associated with each case. If your case doesn’t go as planned and there is no recovery in the claim, the advance does not need to be repaid. You owe nothing.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount I can ask for?

Although there is no standard, on average our company gives $500-$500,000 per case. Apply today and see how much you are eligible for.

Can I receive additional funds after the initial advance?

Yes. You are eligible for additional advances, pending a review of the current case status.

Testimonials

Without your funding, my client would have been forced to settle her case for a
significantly smaller amount than she deserved. You truly went above and
beyond in helping a client in a difficult situation.
